Memorable reviews.

I’ll follow up this post with my ongoing adventures in Kindle Select, however, the recent free listing of my book Keeping in Line (under my YA and real name, Courtney Brandt) did generate two memorable reviews:

“To whoever wrote the book Keeping in Line: I want to personally say fuck you.  You ruined my sleep cycle that I worked hard to reset.  And I mean this in the most polite way.  The book was clean. 😉 “

and

Also, I finished Keeping in Line today.

Basically me when finishing it.

So like, I like Bronwyn, a lot. I didn’t have to yell at her as much as I yelled at Lucy.

And Drew is great too. And Tony isn’t that bad at all. I liked how they bonded.

But at the end oh gosh. When she said goodbye to Lucy, and then I read all those shorts with Lucy in them, I was like, “WAAHH LUCY I HATED YOU SO MUCH BUT I LOVED YOU OH COME BAAACK.”

Actually really glad she was still in the book.

AND THEN WHEN JERM SHOWED UP AS BRONWYN’S PARTNER AT THE CLINIC.

AND THEN AT THE COMPETITION. dhoifhewdfjkandf

AND THEN THE FRICKING PART ABOUT CAMERON

JUST NO

THAT IS NOT HOW YOU LEAVE.

But anyway, I really enjoyed that book, and lots of love and thanks to Courtney Brandt for making it free the day of my birthday, (in honor of DCI of course.)

I look forward to the day when The Line Up is free. (Mainly because I have no money for amazon xD)

As a YA author, I’ve received a lot of amazing reviews over the years from various readers.  While generation Me can sometimes be well in effect, at the same time, when someone in my target demographic likes my books – they LIKE my books, and that’s a pretty flattering thing as an author.  My audience continually makes my day and keeps me smiling in a bunch of ways.
